Franchisee Faces

Franchisee Faces

Pearle Vision is proud to claim a large family of nearly 700 company and franchise stores in North America—and counting! Pearle Vision continues to add new stores to its list of locations that all deliver outstanding product offerings and No Surprise Pricing. While you can expect the same commitment to customers at every location, there is a diverse and unique team of people at work behind-the-scenes of your local Pearle Vision stores.

Today, I’d like to introduce one of our new franchisee faces. Meet Leslie and Jim Pacer, owners of new Pearle Vision store 826 in Webster, New York. The Pacers are no strangers to the Luxottica family: Leslie was an Optician/Manager for the first LensCrafters to open in New York in 1985. Jim was involved in another form of imaging—an employee of Xerox for 30 years before the Pacers opened the Webster, NY store. The Pacers’ decision to become franchise owners was a case of taking lemons and making lemonade: “It all happened after a bad day of work, but that bad day turned into making a good decision,” Jim explains. Leslie knew another local franchisee who was happy with his decision to buy an existing franchise, so she decided to look into the process and filled out an online form at midnight.  A Pearle representative called her the next morning. Then Leslie called Jim to tell him what she had done. Fortunately for Webster, NY, Jim was very supportive of the decision and is looking forward to working in the lab.

Jim and Leslie are excited about the opportunities they’ve gained as franchisee partners. “We’re looking forward to nurturing the business and watching it grow,” Jim says. “We’ve had a very position reception so far.” The Pacers hope to grow their business enough to focus on it as their sole venture: “We want to build the franchise to the point where Jim can afford to retire from Xerox and work in the lab. “ When the Pacers aren’t working, they’re watching hockey (Sabres fans!), Jim works in the garden and Leslie loves to read.

I was just in a Pearle Center in Woodbridge. It was not the best visit I have had to Pearle. We were scheduled for a 10 am visit. My family of 4 went to the store we arrive about 5 min early no one there yet that’s ok. We waited outside until 10am we were let in. The entryway had cob webs and dead bugs everywhere on the floor.(yuk) We were asked to wait in the waiting room looking at theses bugs and finally at 10:15 we were helped. I finally got into the exam room at 10:30. If you can’t be ready for a appointment then don’t make one at 10AM make your fist at 10:30. We all had appointments and to be the first and not be ready is not professional We have had our exams for the past 4 years there and this by far was the worst and will most likely be the LAST.

People in Fairfield, CT are talking about the Pearle Vision Billboard… You don’t want your kids learning fuzzy math, do you? How apropos, as the school district is trying to implement a Fuzzy Math program, CPM and Investigations, in our district!

Great timing… people are talking about it! You should put more around our town! I actually stopped into Pearle Vision today to ask about the advertisement… and wouldn’t you know I ended up purchasing a pair of sunglasses!!!

I am assuming you were the agency who created this ad!

    So COOL!
