We’re in an era where we are surrounded by screens—and heavily dependent on many of them. These devices are increasingly being made more compact for mobility—chiefly speaking, via smart phones. Smart phones have become an extension of ourselves. We look to their small screens to read work emails, use the internet, and seek assistance of mobile apps (or log time on Angry Birds, whatever your prerogative). Enjoying the full range of capabilities of smart phones is heavily dependent on your ability to actually see them. But on the other hand, how you see may actually be affected by smart phones. World Sight Day

These are just some of the words our patients have expressed to OneSight volunteers over the years. As today we acknowledge World Sight Day, an annual day of awareness held to focus global attention on blindness and visual impairment, we want to remember the patients our passionate volunteers and supporters serve every day through Clinics, in-store and community programs.
