In February, OneSight volunteers headed to South Africa for a Global Clinic to give the gift of sight to locals in need. Thousands of lives were transformed with new eyewear, including those of 3866 patients in Mtubatuba, 1282 patients in Khula Village, and 1090 patients in Hlabisa. World Sight Day
“I can see the leaves on the trees.”
“I can read the board.”
“I can now get A’s.”
“I love my new glasses. Thank you.”
These are just some of the words our patients have expressed to OneSight volunteers over the years. As today we acknowledge World Sight Day, an annual day of awareness held to focus global attention on blindness and visual impairment, we want to remember the patients our passionate volunteers and supporters serve every day through Clinics, in-store and community programs.
